***This is my second post today. ***
***Please scroll down for my Oh Alice! post.***
Let the games begin!!!
If you arrived here from the awesome Fitter Twit's blog
then you are right on track. If not, please start from the beginning of this
haunted hop with the Mistress of the Macabre herself, Barb!!
Halloween is a special holiday for me.
It was my Grandparent's Anniversary (they were magicians),and they would throw
an elaborate party(Adults Only!) every year to celebrate, and it was the
talk of the (very, painfully small) town.
I have always loved all things Halloween and have been collecting
decorations since I was teenager. I have some pretty old pieces
and manage to add to my collection every year as well.
My Halloween boxes far out number my Christmas decorations.
I have found through this world of blogging that I am not the
only Halloween fanatic out there! Oh no, no, no!
There is an entire subculture of people far more immersed in the world
of Halloween than myself!
I bow at their feet, blogs, ideas, art, haunts, crafts, etc.....!
My people, we are one!
Nicole, a.k.a., Canadian Nickel Scrap'n is a fellow fanatic, and has put together this awesome group of ladies, their blogs, and their crafty homage(s) to Halloween, for your hopping and viewing pleasure.
Stick with us to the end and there are some awesome prizes to be won.
First off, I had to make a card using the cutest bat image ever!
Meet "Martin", from The Stamping Bazaar.
Freakin' adorable huh?
I added a Sakura glaze to the caramel apple, but it doesn't
show very well in the photos.
Lots of fun to play with this little fella!
There are two more images to go with this one, I just didn't
get a chance to color them up yet.
Next, is my labor of love and new found hobby.
It started out like this.
Very dated and slightly heinous harlequin mask.
With some polymer clay and a new found
love of sculpting, I turned it into this.
Which I have finally painted and glued and painted,
and glued some more, into this:
Not too shabby for my very first sculpture of this type.
I think she turned out flippin' awesome and I am (finally) impressed
with myself.
I painted her with layers of acrylic paint dabbed on and then wiped off to
create some depth and then I glued on the hair from a thrift store Halloween wig.
I then painted a wooden plaque, aged it, sanded it, added a hanger to the back,
and glued this wicked chick to the front!!
Not sure if I'm going to hang onto her or put her in my Etsy shoppe.
She's pretty cool, I might have to keep her, but I have a Zombie to finish,
and I loves me some zombies!!!
Thanks so much for sticking with me on this long winded tour of my Halloween goodies.
As a token of my appreciation, I have some CANDY up for grabs!!!
Just some fun Halloween themed goodies
I have been accumulating.
The wind up skeleton is my favorite.
Please leave me a comment (and become a follower if you'd like), and on
Friday, October 8th, I will randomly choose a winner from all of the
comments left on this post.
Make sure to leave me a way to get ahold of you if you are the winner.
Next up on the hop is the fabulous Jess, from KinderstampO.
Be sure to follow us to the end where Nicole has some awesome prizes up for grabs.
