!!!New Hobby Alert!!!

Most all of my friends and family know I collect masks.
Most all of my friends and family have seen my masks.
A friend of my husband's, who has been to our house and has seen my mask collection,
dropped off a couple of ceramic masks for me to add to my collection.
How thoughtful right?

Not exactly my kinda mask.
In fact, I am not a fan of the Harlequin clown at all.

So, I thanked my husband's friend, and mentally added them to the yard sale box in the garage.

Then, I got an idea.
What if I cover the masks with polymer clay and re-make them into something that I consider to be cool?
Worth a shot. What did I have to lose?
About 50 cents from the yard sale.

This is my witch mask.
She's not even close to being finished yet, but I just had to share.
I still have to paint her and add some hair, and then mount her on a plaque for hanging.
I'm really pretty stoked that she came out so good considering I have never sculpted something like this before.
I can see where I need to make improvements on the next mask, but overall, I am very pleased with how it turned out so far.

This is my zombie.
LOVE him!
I managed to make him pretty gross with rotten teeth and an exposed brain and rotted nose cartilage. He may end up as a mummy instead, but I'm going to try and make him a zombie first.
I am anxious (and nervous) to get some paint on this guy.

Will post them again once they are complete.
